The Transporter shuttle is the perfect combination of comfort, flexibility and space. From the moment you enter, you’ll find a light and airy interior constructed from high quality materials, which is designed to welcome and relax passengers as they progress with their journey.
Moulded interior trim, roof headlining and comfortable seats (with height adjustable head restraints) set the scene, while features such as heat reflective glass, a rear heating system, multiple air vents and sunblinds on rear passenger side windows help create a controlled atmosphere that feels like home. When it comes to practicality, you’ll find the abilities of the Transporter shuttle more than just skin deep.
For instance, the cab has useful wide door bins and is packed with a number of integral storage compartments, including drinks holders. The passenger compartment has space in abundance, with great access through two side sliding doors (with childlocks), while luggage is easily accommodated through a rear tailgate with heated window and wash/wipe. When carrying small children, ISOFIX mounting points allow the easy fitting of child seats in the middle seat row for added safety. In fact, when you need to comfortably carry a large number of passengers, as well as their luggage, you’ll find the Transporter shuttle virtually unbeatable.
The Transporter shuttle delivers refined power, torque, flexibility and economy, with its range of four exciting, state-of-the-art engines - all featuring Volkswagen’s LongLife Servicing regime. At the heart of every shuttle sits one of Volkswagen’s amazing TDI ‘Pumpe Duese’ (PD) diesel engines. Each of the TDI PD units features unit injector technology and offers more economy through improved fuel consumption.
Continual improvements to our engine range provide environmental benefits too and all Transporter shuttle engines now comply with EU 4 legislation. The 130PS and 174PS engines also benefit from a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), as standard, which helps cut particulates from exhaust gases. With masses of power and torque on offer, the Transporter shuttle will accommodate anything you need.
With an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Traction Control System (TCS) (not 4MOTION®), the Transporter shuttle offers a complete safety package that you can rely on. This is complimented by Engine Braking Control (EBC) (not 4MOTION®) which prevents the driving wheels breaking away on slippery surfaces when taking your foot off the accelerator, or re-engaging the clutch.
As standard, the 130PS 4MOTION® window van model is equipped with Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP) with a brake assist system for added safety, it is also available as an option on other window van models. Other options in the cab include front passenger airbag plus two side and two curtain airbags.
